First Time Rider Program – A Safety Program for Students and Parents/Guardians

The First Time Rider Program is an interactive opportunity for parents/guardians and students to become familiar with a school bus and the safety rules and features that keep students safe on the bus.

The focus of the session is to familiarize parents/guardians and students with the following bus safety procedures:

-how to cross the road safely;

-getting on and off the bus safely;

-bus rules and proper behaviour on the bus

-how to exit the bus in the event of an emergency

The program also includes a video reinforcing the safety rules as well as handouts for the students and parents/guardians.

All school bus and taxi transportation cancelled - February 13, 2019

Due to poor road conditions and continued inclement weather all school bus and taxi transportation is cancelled in the Tri-Board Student Transportation Services jurisdiction.
