First Time Rider Program for JK/SK

Grade Level:               JK/SK and families

Program Length:     1 hour

Program Type:         Interactive

First-Time Rider is a safety program designed to educate new students and their families on bus safety using a real school bus. This presentation is usually held during school’s JK/SK orientation in the spring for those starting school in September.

Riders and their families will learn:

• How to cross the street safely

• How to get on and off the bus safely

• Acceptable rider behavior

• How to exit the bus in an emergency

This session is scheduled by the school through Tri-Board. Ask your school about this program
