October 16-20 2023 is School Bus Safety Week. This year, we are focusing on the key that makes the school bus run safely: the bus driver. Wednesday, October 18 is School Bus Driver Appreciation Day and we encourage families to thank their driver for their commitment to transporting students to and from school safely. A “Thank You” goes a long way in showing support for their dedication!

Across Ontario, school buses are being cancelled daily due to a province-wide driver shortage. Bus companies are doing their best to recruit new employees, but did you know that most drivers are found within the school community? If you or someone in your community would make a great bus driver, visit triboard.ca/drivers to apply (driver training provided). Or contact one of our bus companies directly!
