Applying for a ride on the school bus is a separate process from registering with the school and can be completed now for new students. We process applications all year and waiting until the end of summer may mean your transportation won’t be set up for the first day school.

What you need to know:

Tri-Board provides services for the Algonquin & Lakeshore Catholic District, Hastings & Prince Edward District, and the Limestone District School Boards to/from addresses that are within the school’s attendance boundary and at least 1.6KM from the school’s address (3.2KM for secondary).  Not sure if you qualify? Use the  Eligibility Tool. 

If eligible, you can apply online here using September 1st 2023 as a start date. (You can use this date if you will be changing schools in September and want to keep current transportation in place for the 22-23 school year).

Eligible students only need to apply once, unless there is a change in school or address. only special circumstance and elective learning program applications need to re-apply each school year.

Multiple Addresses? Only one application is held on file per school year, so if you need transportation to/from multiple eligible address (due to caregiving or split-custody, etc.,) please include them all in one application.

Special Needs Accommodations: Students with special needs must submit the Special Education Transportation Form to the School Board.
