The first day of school for students is Wednesday, September 4, 2024.
The deadline for bus applications was August 11, 2024. Applications submitted after the deadline are currently being processed to stat mid-September. Families should make alternative arrangements in the interim and consider these alternative arrangements for other days when school buses are not running, such as on inclement weather days.
Busing Details & Status Alerts:
Please review your student’s bus schedule in the student portal before the first day of school. Families should know the bus stop location, pick-up & drop-off times, and the bus company’s name and phone number for each bus they use.
Buses will be late from time to time and may even be cancelled for various reasons at any point in the school year. Review your bus alert subscriptions in the portal to ensure you receive updates on your bus’s status.
Route Stabilization & Application Freeze:
Bus Routes have been finalized and shared with bus companies. They will remain static until September 16th so that bus drivers, school staff, and families can get to know their routes (some exceptions may occur, such as minor adjustments to ensure the bus arrives at the school on time). This minimizes the risk of students not getting picked up, being put on the wrong bus, or getting off at the wrong stop. Requests to switch buses or stop locations will not be accommodated during this period.
Starting September 16th, applications will be processed with effective dates for the next available Monday (or Tuesday if Monday is a holiday or PA day) so that bus routes are only revised once a week. Visit triboard.ca/apply for more information on the application process.
Bus Stop Review Requests:
Due to the high volume of applications received during this time, requests to move bus stop locations/create new stops will not be reviewed until late September-early October.
